Unrealized Common Ground

When you think about it, it is strange that Liberals and Conservatives don't get along. After all, they both want exactly the same thing:

• The Conservative wants to run his life without interference.

• The Liberal also wants to run the Conservative's life without interference.

See? Identical goals! Mutual aims! Common ground!
