And some time ago, I read an unintentionally funny article in some British paper, in which the police were all atwitter about the rise in Sword violence.
As God is my witness.
Stupid gits never tumbled to the fact that people will use weapons on other people. And after banning all the guns, they were "shocked, SHOCKED" to find them using swords on one another.
They'll have to ban cricket bats, baseball bats, screwdrivers, hammers, kitchen knifes, rolling pins, golf clubs, walking canes, crutches, cars (deadly weapons), forks, nail files, tree limbs...and don't forget...box cutters.
It'll be interesting to watch.
And when it gets down to nothing but fists, will they cut off everyone's hands?
Regarding knives, I remember reading a proposal a while back to raise the legal purchase age of knives (allknives) from 16 to 18. Just in case.
