Blood-Brothers

As a conservative who has little patience with the touchy-feelie, Hollywood-Academia-Media-Democrat notions of "multiculturalism" and "diversity" and moral relativity, I often assume the worst about liberals affected with this self-hating, American-hating, Caucasian-hating psychosis: That they are mentally damaged, deficient, or actually stupid.

I tend to assume that they are permanently doomed to see mirages, hear voices, believe in utopian fantasies, project their fears, hatreds and sins on others, and generally remain divorced from reality.

But I realize that is wrong. The reason that such people can exist is that they live in the most free, wealthy, strong, secure and honorable country in the world. Like children secure in their parents' protection and love, they play at rebellion with the insufferable arrogance of adolescence.

And like adolescents, they are not crazy or stupid, they are merely immature; limited in their understanding, unpracticed in higher reasoning, mistaking feelings for facts. And like children, they play-act at being princesses and heroes, rebels and revolutionaries while the adults pat them on the head, tolerate their silliness, and do the real work of the world.

But when the Jihadists finally break the spell, as they are bound to do as they escalate their war against the West, exploding the lies of "tolerance", and moral equivilance, and victimhood, the Left will react with wrath at the shattering of their dream, fury at the exposure of their gullibility and lack of sophistication, and the normal outrage of victims of actual, unexpected, unjustified assault.

And the Left will hate the enemy even more than they hate Conservatives, Christians and the Military. This does not bode well for the enemy, who will have pushed their erstwhile allies into the camp of their most implacable foes.

They really don't "get" us at all.
