Celebrate the Death of Your Enemies

I wrote this on June 8. I shut down the blog it was on. But I wanted it posted:

This morning I heard the father of the first American to have his head sawed off on video by Al Zarqawi, discussing the death of his son’s killer.

The crazy, benighted Mr. Berg has ‘forgiven’ Al Zarqawi for butchering his son. He has not, however, forgiven President Bush.

This is the insanity that Liberal-Judeo Christian schizophrenia causes: We mourn the death of a savage enemy, and turn on our own, blaming them for a war started by medieval thugs that slaughtered 3000 innocents. Alice’s Wonderland is sane by comparison.

While disagreeing with Mr. Berg’s transference of vitriol and blame onto the President, many Americans admire this “forgiveness” of an inhuman monster as an honorable virtue. But it is neither honor nor virtue. It is a violation of both. It is a refusal to acknowledge that 'forgiveness' of evil is abetting evil. It is moral weakness. It is the betrayal of the good. It is infidelity to truth. It is cowardice.

Honor and virtue require that one stand firmly against evil, and its perpetrators. Evil acts are the outward expression of the evil that a man is. To hate the sin, but love the sinner is a kind of Christian Yoga; twisting the mind into impossible contortions contrary to nature, reason and logic. I will have none of it.

I hate Al Zarqawi. I hate everything he did and everything he stands for. He was not fit to be called a MAN. I own him no respect, no compassion, no forgiveness. He was my deadly enemy; the enemy of my people and my nation. I celebrate his death with delight and triumph. And there is no shadow of guilt mitigating my utter joy at his demise.

I will never forgive him, his followers, his leaders, anyone who aided, abetted, gave him sanctuary, food, wine or water; or merely refused to turn him in. They do not deserve my forgiveness. And I am under no obligation to offer it. My god does not require it.

I will sleep happier and warmer tonight in the knowledge that he and many of his henchmen are dead. The only thing that could make me happier is the certain knowledge that they are groaning and twisting on a spit in the fires of the hell his sick religion hopes for ‘infidels”.
