Congress' Lame Resolution

I listened to Hugh Hewitt reading yesterday's Congressional RESOLUTION condemning disclosures of secret, lawful intelligence gathering programs, by the 'media'. And while it does get on record the lawfullness and the effectiveness of the programs, and that the Congress fully supports them, the strongest language we get directly about the action that provoked the resolution is: "...expect the cooperation of all news media"

They do not name the New York Times or the L.A. Times anywhere in the resolution. They do not insist that an investigation take place to find and prosecute the leakers. They did not institute hearings to determine if there should be charges against the papers. They condemn "disclosing", but not the "disclosers".

As Hugh says,"It's LAME".
