This morning, on the Dan Bongino podcast (which I recommend to EVERYONE) Dan pretty much debunked that hopeful theory. According to him & his insider sources, the spending is defined, literally by law, and while there is a little wiggle room, Prez does NOT have the wide discretion on how it's spent as the favored and viral theory portrayed.
According the Bongino, Prez is pissed...REALLY PISSED, because he was advised to sign it, that it was the right and politic thing to do—the only way to get his required Military Spending...and that his base would calm down after a short temper tantrum.
As we learn more about this monstrosity...that it forbids the building of Trump's WALL...but gives money to other countries to secure THEIR borders...just for example. The uproar is NOT DYING DOWN....and people are furious.
Now, sensible people understand that it was the filthy, America-hating democrats and the swampy, gormless, spineless GOP that ultimately got this piece of shit to Prez's desk...but that doesn't mitigate the fact that he signed it.
Bongino described a great visual that didn't, but should have happened:
Prez calls a press conference, takes the over 2,000 page bill, throws it up in the air...and says, "I'm not signing this piece of crap. Fix it." and walks out.
Ah.....that's what dreams are made of, right there!
As I understand it, from Bongino, who says he's got insider info, Prez is furious at his counselors, and we should expect continuing shakeups. He's realizing that some of the people he thought shared his vision, understood his goals, and had the best interests of the American People at heart...have now proven themselves to be the worst sort of Swamp Creatures.
This makes me sad. I was having a lot of fun WINNING...and watching Prez get the better of the vampires and zombies in DC pretty much every time. But it looks like he might have been snookered this time...and with something as important as TRILLIONS IN DEBT....this could hurt. Not just the country, but Prez's credibility.
Good thing: He smart, savvy, and proud. HE WILL GET EVEN.
And I'm looking forward to that.
