What's with the "RE-LEARN" usage here? They don't need to learn again, which is what re-learn means. They didn't learn the first time. There's no "again" involved at all.
What this unclear thinker might be trying to say is that they need to be taught again...though I'd argue that they're were never "taught" to begin with either.

...over-paid, Leftist teachers, tenure which keeps the worst the longest, politically correct agendas and curricula, emphasis on what to think instead of How To Think...social 'passing'...

Obviously, we need to increase the salaries and benefits for teachers, provide more federal funding and re-design tests that are simply too demanding. I know for a fact this will work because the teachers unions said it would work 30 years ago. We just haven't done enough of what they said would work.
ReplyDeletePardon my sarcasm but I have heard this all before, including a stint on a local school board in NJ. Public education has been so corrupted by unions and politics it is beyond repair. It is a money-sucking organism with the sole purpose of producing dutiful zombies and over-compensated loyalists, and it does both remarkably well.
First area/weapon of rebellion. Home-schooling.
ReplyDeleteDid that! My step-son was home schooled. I was determined he was not going to be a liberal moron and just a number so some public school could get its grubby little fingers on more federal money. It can be a daunting task, but it was well worth it.
DeleteI think conservatives also need to get serious about creating endowments for private schools. It can be tricky since liberals are like vermin but standards can be imposed and set in stone. Now if all the money that went to RINO campaigns went to these endowments ...
