As anyone who has even brushed by this blog with his eyes closed knows...I'm am a confirmed Øbama detester.
But, come on. This whole "Polish" brouhaha is a bit much, even for me.
The dim Øne used the term "Polish death camps" in a speech recently and the Poles and the Conservatives (never ones to miss a chance to beat up on our favorite idiøt) are absurdly—and insincerely—freaking out about it.
'bama has said a truckload of stupid stuff since he came upon the scene...and it's all fair game as far as I'm concerned. I enjoy taking the stupid bastard down as much as the next guy. But seriously, this is just a non-starter, and it makes us (and the Polish, I might add) look petty and silly.
"Polish death camps" could mean (a) death camps run by Poles; or it could mean (b) death camps in Poland; or it could mean (c) death camps in which Polish citizens were incarcerated and killed.
Now...what are the chances even the American IdiØt meant (a)?
Can we all stop the nonsense, please.
Grammatically, the usage was benign...and almost certainly correct.
Being this petty and reaching this far only makes our other serious objections to BØzØ more suspect. And we just don't need that right now.

It was a slip because Obama is ignorant. So are most of the people that believe whatever he says. Any bets that a bunch of ignoramuses that belive everything this guy says now think the Poles ran death camps? They are Nazi death camps that were located in Poland. You know that. I know that. The morons that believe Obama don't.
ReplyDeleteIf he would have apologized, rather than his mouthpiece, then I think it would have gone away.
Just as an aside, I highly recommend the movie "Escape from Sobibor." If you haven't seen it, you should.
