Teenage Boy's Revenge Fantasy

Pardon me for repeating myself, but Mr Smith prompted this response with one of his comments. Once I wrote it, it seemed like an interesting insight:
Islam in general seems particularly immature. Custom-made for a testosterone-flooded, rebellious, angry, confused, sexually frustrated, socially rejected, pimply-face, insecure teenage boy.
I don't really know anything about Muhammad (and don't care to), but, how old was he when he made up this "religion"? Even if he was over 25, he was clearly emotionally arrested, in any case, and still a virtual teenager. I'll bet he was a rage-filled, masterbating virgin geek. A stutterer with acne that the girls made fun of and the boys bullied.

And his "religion" is nothing more than a teenage boy's revenge fantasy on all the normal, happy world.

A teenage boy's revenge fantasy that attracted enough other testosterone poisoned teenage boys (or their emotional equivalent) with promises of violence against anyone who pissed them off, and permission to steal anything they wanted, lie when convenient, and rape anyone they caught.

Couldn't he have just taken out a few students at his school? By comparison, the Colombine boys seems positively benign and well-adjusted.

  1. Gratifying to know I somehow instigated this insightful post. I would add, if I could, that l'il Mo's religion not only had all those violent and misogynistic sociopathic tendencies, but somehow justified them 'religiously' to his gullible followers. I mean, bad enough that the 'man' who founded it was that bad, but really what does it tell us that he managed to convince people that there were/are 72 virgins and a perpetual hard-on waiting for them in heaven?

And we're supposed to believe that all religions are somehow equal?

  2. Given the choice of pagan heavens, I'd take Valhalla any day.

  3. Absolutely.

And the Christian heaven must have a special corner reserved for Christian Warriors.

I'm assuming they visit back and forth with the guys in Valhalla, exchanging stories, etc.
