I thought the poppy trade in Muslim countries was dedicated to raising money from Western addicts to fund Jihad... or at best, support the farmers' families and tribes.
Turns out the drugs are being used by the growers, their friends and families....and everyone else in those countries.
At least according to this report over at FrontPage.
It's kinda good news. No culture that poisons itself to this extent can really expect to survive. Maybe we just have to wait them out....till they implode.
...and here I thought it was precisely the opposite for a long time.
I wonder if this guy is right.
