No sane person can hold two diametrically opposed opinions at the same time.
A) Nobody can be "for the children"...AND...for murdering preemies...which is what "late term abortion" essentially is.
And yet, "liberals" say they are.
B) Nobody can be concerned about the welfare of children, the elderly, the sick and the poor...AND...want centralized, government-run "healthcare", which would service those populations like the government-run Veteran's Administration services veterans.
And yet, "liberals" say they do.
C) Nobody can believe that the police are thuggish, racist, intemperate killers of innocents...AND...want a Police State where only the Police (and the military) have guns.
And yet, "liberals" say they do.
D) Nobody can believe that military service renders a veteran so damaged that he should not be allowed to have a gun...AND...want a Police State where only the Military (and the police) have guns.
And yet, "liberals" say they do.

So, let's take a look at what's really going on here. Since no one can hold both of the positions put forth in each of the statements above, yet "liberals" say that they do, there is only one explanation: They are lying. They may well believe in one or the other of the positions in each example, but they clearly cannot believe in both. They are innately self-contradictory.
And since they cannot actually believe in both positions...but they say they do, WHY are they lying about it? What is the point? What are they REALLY trying to accomplish?
Let's take "A". One of the biggest excuses the Left uses for restricting the rights of citizens is their wail: "It's for the Children!" They use it frequently for instituting socialist policies, and especially for arguing for the restrictions to and violations of the Second Amendment.
But since they're perfectly happy to murder innocent babies in the womb, it's clear that their howling "for the children" is a LIE. What, then is the point? What are they REALLY trying to accomplish?
• They are using the "for the children" screech to disarm the American citizen.
Now let's take "B". "Liberals" say that EVERYONE deserves healthcare, and that because that is so, the GOVERNMENT ought to be the one to provide it. But every single example in the history of the world...including that of Canada and UK today, in spite of "liberal" protestations to the contrary, prove that government-run healthcare is second rate, with limited services and long waits. And in our own country, a classic example of government-run healthcare is the Veterans Administration—serving people who have sacrificed for our country—and have been ignored, betrayed and left to DIE by that very government-run healthcare.
So...since government-run healthcare is hideous in every case it has been tried, it cannot be, in fact, good for children, the elderly, the sick, the disabled, the poor... and the EVERYONE "liberals" pretend to be so concerned about. So obviously they are lying. What is the point? What are they REALLY trying to accomplish?
• They are using the "for the children, for the poor" screed, to force everyone to be at the mercy of the government for their healthcare...putting the populace totally at the mercy of the government bureaucrats, lackeys and apparatchiks in immediate, critical matters of life and death.
Now on to "C". "Liberals" claim that the police are thuggish, out-of-control murderers of innocent "youth". They say that the police are brutal, mindless, racists with quick trigger fingers. They organize marches and riots to express their hatred of the "pigs". But these same Leftist leaders that shame and disparage the police, behind the OTHER curtain, exclaim that citizens have no need of guns, that they are deadly and dangerous and should only be in the hands of trained professionals like—the police! What's going on? What are they REALLY trying to accomplish?
• The Left, who want to sow anger, outrage, division and hate encourage factions to fight factions. But their REAL goal, is to disarm the populace, thereby making them totally defenseless—and NOT UNITED—against a leviathan, rapacious all powerful, central State.
Finally, there is "D". "Liberals" sneer that the military so harms the psyches of men that they are too damaged to be allowed to own guns when they return to civilian life...but in the next breath support the establishment of a Super State in which the only guns permitted are those in the hands of the military* and the police!** What's going on? What are they REALLY trying to accomplish?
• Well, much like "C", they really don't believe that returning soldiers are so deranged they shouldn't have guns. They are only using that as an excuse to deny ever more citizens their 2nd Amendment rights.
They do, in fact, want to establish a leviathan, rapacious, all-powerful centralized State before which all citizens will be helpless and utterly dependent...not only because they cannot defend themselves against it...having no means...but entirely dependent on it for access to doctors.
The left realizes that if they accomplish just TWO things, they can establish their dream of a Stalinist-type dictatorship with themselves as the oligarchs in charge:
- Disarm every citizen.
- Make every citizen entirely dependent on the government for critical, life-saving medical care.
Once they accomplish those two...the rest is a cakewalk.
Be warned, fellow-citizens, and don't fall for their double-talk. They seek to enslave you.
