I love it when a quote comes together!*

Allow me to put on my fangirl hat...and squee about a scene in my favorite television show, Supernatural, which I am watching right now.

It's Season 12, Episode 9, First Blood.

Sam and Dean Winchester have just escaped an off-the-books Secret Service/Federal facility after having been captured and wrongly accused of attempting to assassinate the President of the United States...after, in face, actually exorcised Lucifer—yes, the DEVIL— from the POTUS.

The "dark" facility is in the forested Colorado Rockies, and they are being chased by a detachment of Secret Service...while the brothers are in prison overalls, unarmed, running through an unfamiliar wood.

Being who they are, they wait in ambush for a single member of the search team, capture his weapon and his radio, render him unconcious, and when the leader contacts his man, Dean answers instead, warning that they should leave, and no one will get hurt.

The response is that when they catch the brothers, they will get hurt, a lot. And notes that the Winchesters are trapped. Confidence and perhaps a little arroganct in his tone.

And here it is:

Dean answers...now that the badass brothers are armed...

"Well, what we have is a failure to communicate, 'cause we're not trapped out here with you. You're trapped out here with US."

Now this is a twofer. Two of my favorite quotes...from two different movies. A "compound" best quote, if you will!

a) 1967's Cool Hand Luke - spoken by both the Warden, played by Strother Martin, and Luke, played by Paul Newman.

b) 2009's The Watchmen - spoken  ("locked in" instead of "trapped out") by Rorchach, played by Jackie Earle Haley.

I'm a simple beast. This made my day.
