Poetry/lyrics from the mailbag...

"I've been hearing an old song that the group Disturbed just covered, The Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel from decades ago. That song was always so deep I never understood it. But we just needed to rewrite it to reflect modern times. Now it makes sense. Unfortunately.....

Hello Ronnie, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision quite disturbing
Left a thought so perturbing
And the nightmare that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of liberals

With a glock I walked alone
Where the homeless creatures roam
'Neath the halo of a street fire
I turned away from the burning tire

When an old man then got stabbed
A homemade shiv reflected light
And cries they filled the night
I heard the sound of liberals

A naked crack hoe I then saw
Dirty needles, gangs, no law
“Progressives” crying “help those people”
Naïve souls known as “sheeple”

People spending public funds
Line the pockets of politicians
And no seems to care
Disturb the sound of liberals

"Fools,” said I, "you do not know
This BS like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Arm yourselves before they reach you."
But my words like silent warnings fell
And closed their minds, like liberals

And the people bowed and prayed
To the vision Hillary made
Tax the rich and ease this pain
Feed your heart and not your brain

And she then said,
"The words of the Clinton's
Are written on the congress walls
And whisky halls."
And so drones on the sound of liberals."
