Trump Talks, Cruz Orates

I watched a little of Hannity last night (not something I generally do), and he had extended clips from his interviews with Trump and Cruz.

For the Trump interview, they were sitting on stage. For the Cruz interview, they were standing.

The difference was interesting.

Trump engaged in a personal conversation with Hannity, responding to his questions the way one does in a conversation.

Cruz, on the other hand, listened to Sean's question, then moved away, leaving Hannity out of the frame, and gave a speech to the audience...instead of just answering the question.

He had the orator's tone, gestures, applause lines and pauses.

The difference was palpable...and I found that as much as I like Cruz's certified conservatism, Donald was a lot more likeable and personable and believeable...because he was having a conversation, not speechifying.

Ted needs to get a handle on that...
