    EXactly. If the authors of the Constitution wanted to make it easy, if they had wanted a "Living Constitution", they wouldn't have needed to address the very specific mechanism for changing it. A mechanism that has been abused in the past (think 16th Amendment) in order for the government to get what it wants. Just as it continues to abuse and/or ignore the Constitution today.
