I can't believe I'm taking Donald Trump seriously as a candidate for President.
But I am.
My first choice is Ted Cruz, as I've made abundantly clear. But Trump has definitely got my attention. The enraged response both from the Democrats/Socialists and the GOPe (GOP establishment/elite) endeared him to me from the beginning.
His take on the border is just short of brilliant. No, erase that. It IS brilliant. Of course he's dead right, and he's saying what we all feel.
He's discovered the potent secret of life and politics: TELL THE TRUTH.
Wow. What a concept.
And both Democrats and Republicans are really struggling to comprehend it.
Just shows you how far we have fallen.

We saw the same phenomena with John Anderson, Ross Perot, Ron Paul and now Donald Trump. It is not so much about truth as it is about opinion and the courage to buck the elites. Even Democrats say their is a problem with illegal immigration (a truth) but it is the answer they and GOPe's come up with that angers people (the opinion).
ReplyDeletePeople feel they can't touch that sacred cow without paying a penalty. That's where Trump comes in and says it is all right to reject what the elitist say and expose these illegal aliens for what they are.
At least on this one issue Trump shows courage and says what many people are afraid to say out loud. Sure we are behind him on this, but one issue does not a president make.
