In a Nutshell

With regard to the Left's obsession with "winning the hearts and minds" of brutal enemies so that they will turn into peace and love hippies, and stop murdering, beheading and burning people alive, a smart, civilized Western person said this:

"You cannot win the hearts and minds of the heartless and mindless."

Sums it up rather nicely I thought.
