Notes on Mississippi

"The GOP establishment hates Hates HATES the TEA Party and all it represents. Besides the usual kabuki theater of pretending to be Conservative to get votes, the GOP has NOTHING in common with their Base."

*

The TEA Party won and the RINOs lost. The enemy is now fully out in the open and we know who they are. I will never ever send another dime to the RNC or NRSC and I will support ANYONE over a RINO. In fact, if I could, I'd vote DEMOCRAT in the coming Mississippi senatorial election just to screw Thad Cockroach and the RNC over."

*

"The establishment could save itself a whole lot of money if they were willing to compromise half as much with the TEA Party as they do with the democrats."

*

"The cost to the GOP is far greater than that. They have tipped their hand. They are NO BETTER than the Democrats. We will remember, and once you turn off your base, you cease to exist as a party."

*

"When the Old Guard senses danger to their rule, they become more desperate. The despicable manner in which they pulled off the Thad Cochran 'victory' in MS might just be the first serious sign of the demise of the GOP.

Since another Gallup poll showed that the country is still majority conservative, it is only a matter of time before the loose collection of GOP base, conservative independents and Dems coalesces into a political force. These things take time, but the reaction of the good ol' boys will literally force the issue.

All it should take is an articulate spokesman who can communicate to the American people that they are not presently represented in Washington. When that happens, it will not be news to us, only a confirmation of what we already know."

*

"I was already disgusted with the spineless candidates they've chosen (McCain and Romney neither of whom would challenge Obama); their being spineless watching this administration stomp on the Constitution; I've seen them not support Tea Party candidates but this shows they're a pack of liars. They stand more firmly with the Democrats than with conservatives. The only difference is social issues (which really should be left up to the people of each state (not Congress and not judges)), which are just smokescreens anyway."

*

I'm beginning to think things are more like the movie "The Matrix":
"If you're not one of us, then you are one of them. Anyone who is connected to the system is part of that system, and that system is your enemy".
Even if the GOP went full-bore Tea Party I doubt that they would be able to retain power long enough to even put a dent in the bureaucratic tyranny that has been built up over the decades.

And finally...something that occurred to me when I read all the money they spent beating McDaniels ...

"Sounds like a way, run them out of money."
