Pretty Much Says it All

In the comments section of a post about the new movie "Noah"....I found this jewel by Oscar:

"Just saw Noah and it was a laughable farce, a waste of money and time. An total, heretical farce. Should not have included the word Noah, because it was obviously based on someone else. The single thing in common this film has with the Genesis account is water.

Questions:
Why could not Hollywood have simply followed Genesis and let people decide to see it and believe it or not?

Why did Noah have to try to kill his twin grand-daughters in this version?

Why did the producers have to include silly rock monsters in this ridiculous mockery of a movie?

Why did Noah try to keep the denizens from entering the ark, instead of preaching that they repent and join him as the Bible clearly says?

I would not trust Hollywood to tell me what time it is. I would not ask Russell Crowe what color is the sky. I lost the last ounce of respect I had for the world's best English-speaking actor, Sir Anthony Hopkins."

* * *

Don't think I'll be seeing this movie.

  2. The sad part is that this is as close as some progressives can come to the proper portrayal of HIS-story in the Torah (Cecil B DeMil came closer)....
    They could have used a different title and packaged it as an epic action/adventure/disaster flick...but they're trying to suck in the believers for the almightey dollar.

  3. Yes, they could have called it "JOE"....or as some offered, "The Epic of Gilgamesh" and mostly not offended anybody.

    Of course, that would put a crimp in their supercilious sense of superiority over the primitives who still believe in superstitions and "myths", wouldn't it?

    God, I hate 'em.
