How Fucking TIRED of This Are You?

  1. This is what end-time prophecies told us would happen. Right is wrong and wrong is right. Everything is upside down, lies are truthes and truthes are lies. This is not a battle we can win alone.

  2. I watch "Supernatural", and have, until recently, considered it fiction.

Things are getting so weird, and so obviously wrong, I am forced to consider the reality that evil is alive and stalking the world...and that many are its acolytes.

So...Grab the Salt and Iron and Crucifixes, and brush up on your Latin!

    1. Did you register that Crucifix? Sic semper tyrannis! (the only latin we need to know)

    2. Maybe a little Greek too? "Kyrie Eleison".

(If you're Catholic, you know what I'm talkin' about!)

  4. This is an aside but my interest in learning classical latin has been revived. I took three years of French in high school and later regretted I had not taken latin. The Mass was in latin when I was young but the missal had an English translation so no need to learn latin.

I have been trying to learn Portuguese and it would have been helpful to learn latin first. Thanks to the marvels of the internet, I have found a good number of classical latin tutorials, so I'll be busy for quite some time with that.

  5. Tru....can you give me the links? I took Spanish...of which all I remember is the Pledge of Allegiance...because that's the period we were required to say it—every day, and we had to say it in Spanish. I too regret not learing Latin. And I too used a missal that translated the Latin Mass. Though I did learn the standard bits and pieces... your "mea culpas" and "in nomini Patris"etc.

  6. This is where I decided to start because written articles on pronunciation just weren't cutting it:

This is for classical latin and as I am learning, it is one of three major dialects. The other site I will use is:

    http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/latin/beginners/tutorial/default.htm

This is not classical latin but seems to be one of the best organized tutorials and I plan to work back to classical latin after completing this. I'm still looking for the classical latin tutorial but haven't found one I like yet.
