That was indeed worth watching. Penn describes himself as a libertarian atheist. No problem for me but he did say something I found not to be libertarian at all. He was discussing the use of public property and cited the Boy Scouts in particular. This was prompted when Glenn raised the issue concerning a Nativity display in a small Pennsylvania town.
ReplyDeletePenn's position was that because the Boy Scouts ban gays and atheists from membership, they should not be allowed to use public property. I'm going to write at length about that, but not here. I only mention that because I believe that is not a libertarian position but an authoritarian position.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the whole piece, so thanks for posting the link.
