Art and Logic

Frauds and hypocrites. Yeah. Hollywood and pop music stars.

A new book documents it all: Hollywood HypocritesThe Devastating Truth About Obama's Backers
by Jason Mattera
Among the hypocritical assholes is one Bruce Springsteen (my erstwhile hero). Just one of the many "do as I say, not as I do" boys, he shelters his cash from taxes as much as possible, while pushing the idea, and lecturing the rest of us publicly, that government is good and more socialist programs are necessary to help the poor and disadvantaged.

Just don't take his money to do it.

Seriously, I'm into the arts. But if I hear one more "artist" sermonize about politics, I'm gonna snap and possibly do something more splattery than artistic.

Here's the deal:  Being a good artist generally means that you are led by your heart. You live in your emotions. Good for art. But can we all please agree that it's stupid for anything that requires logical thought.

The better someone is at art, the more more in touch they are with their emotions. Ergo, they "feel" more than they "think".

They should never be taken seriously when talking about anything that requires intellectual reasoning or logic.
