Of Mothers and Buses

This story is shocking.

A 4-year-old girl is randomly beat up everyday on her way to school...on the school bus.

But there are three threads to this story. Obviously...

FIRST is the out-of-control children on the school bus that beat up little children regularly without compunction (what sort of adults will these monsters in training be? Complete sociopaths in the making.)

SECOND are the totally lying, irresponsible, government workers running the program who refuse to acknowledge or resolve this insane, inhumane situation where little children are subject to beatings daily while in the keeping, and under the auspices of the government school system.

But THIRD is Mom. Mom who wants the "authorities" to do something.

And, OH MY GOD, they SHOULD! But the fact is they are not...and yet she keeps putting her little daughter on the same bus every morning, in spite of the beatings and bullying.

She believes that "someone" should stop this, either the school or the bus company. But actually keeping her child off the bus seems not to have occurred to her. So while she is waiting for someone else to fix this problem, and is disappointed not to say outraged that they are not, she continues to send her baby daughter into the gladiators' arena every morning.

I have questions this story did not address!

Doesn't this woman have a car to drive her child to school?

Can't this woman walk her child to school?

The mother was "at home" worrying about her child, according to the story. Does this mean she does not have a job?

She is identified as "Ms." Does that mean she is not married?

Does that mean there is no husband, no baby-daddy around?

Does that mean she is on welfare... because hey, (1) baby (2) no job (3) no breadwinner? (I'm just doin' the math here.)

Does that mean she has been dependency trained...to the point that she is incapable of making the active decision to remove her child from this dangerous environment?

Is it really necessary for a 4-year-old child to go to school?

Why can't she just stay at home with her mother, who is, apparently, at home?

Inquiring minds want to know.

This baby girl is really and truly "on her own". Even Mama ain't there to save her. What are the chances of her growing up to be a happy, well-adjusted, non-sociopath who doesn't repeat all these sick patterns?

I say slim to none.

Until we can get a handle on all ends of this problem, it ain't going away.

We. Are. Doomed.

  1. I have yet another question. What is the school bus driver doing all this time while kids are being beat up on his/her bus?

  2. Government workers union member. No doubt bitching that he doesn't get paid enough - and saying taking responsibility for the childrens' safety is not in his job description. He's just a driver. If you want a "safety monitor", you need to hire out of different union hall.

  3. Her 4 year old is in school because that is how she was indoctrinated. Whether you have a job or not, you should hand your child over to the government. Not MY child. I would've been up in the face of the bus driver, the principal and the whole goddamned school board about it. But, I chose to keep my kids at home with me and educate them, thus making the bus rides and bullying irrelevant. ~~ Skiri'ki
