ReplyDeleteI was driving in Wisconsin recently and enjoying the tranquility of the countryside when I happened upon a "wind farm". The beauty of the green pastureland was blighted by GE's contribution to the environment, 150-200 foot high towers with 3-prop wind turbines, in your face and despoiling what might have been a Currier and Ives landscape. I had the car windows up so I can say nothing about the noise.

No, the noblity prefers not to have their view despoiled by what belongs in the peasants' back yards. Environmentalists are not conservationists; they are country-club liberals that believe wine is harvested in pre-labeled liter bottles. They will enjoy it as long as they don't have to see what it takes to make it.
