“He goes into these into these negotiations, and into these legislative battles, with a stronger hand because people understand that he’s going to fight for what he believes in,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in an interview. “Congress proved to itself that it’s well within their power to do the big things that’ll bring about the type of change that they were elected to bring.”
Gibbs contended that Republicans may be more gettable now: “Understanding that what they got out of the health care thing was virtually nothing, I think they may think twice on financial reform. There’s certainly ample evidence that their 'strategery' needs a little reform.”
So....the Republicans, VASTLY outnumbered in both houses of Congress, with a "Rock Star" in the White House for the first several months, with the Media fainting and throwing their panties at him from the beginning, while simultaneously engaged in an unprecedented campaign to destroy them—have fought off Cap & Trade once, held ØbamaCare at bay for a YEAR...destroyed the Resident's popularity, completely exposed him as a corrupt and raging Socialist...won governorships in Virginia and New Jersey, "Ted Kennedy's Seat" in Massachusetts, and forced Øbama and the Democrat Congress into a death crawl to the finish line squeaking Socialized Medicine by with less than a handful of votes that they only got with public bribery because even Democrats would not support it of their own free will...
...and Gibbs thinks the Republican strategy needs reform?
You've got to give them this: They are almost supernatural in their ability to refuse to see reality. Or at least to acknowledge it. The utter disconnect from anything we might call 'on the planet'...is in a word...awesome.
Not in a good way.
This is beyond "spin". This is rotation faster than the speed of light.
