  1. At the start of the New Year,a local station (WLAC-am)started carrying his radio show live (8 to 11 am,just before Rush, and IT'S GREAT!!! They had been carrying it delayed at 5pm CST,but often pre-empted it for a frigging UT b-ball game (what is more important?).It's better than the FoxNews show, more funny but they do have more time...A "blue-dog Democrat" turned me onto him 6 years ago.Beck's approach to issues is more apt to open eyes than partisan Republican hacks like Hannity, who are old news. He be the anti-Olbermann...

  2. hi Gunslinger and readers... for the most part I am pro Beck... However, for such a 'gung ho' supposed pro-constitutionalist, I wonder why he won't discuss presidential eligilibity which both McCain and Obumbles don't have?

Where do u guys stand and why do think Beck won't touch the topic?

  3. McCain is eligible. He as born on a US base. I don't why this is still coming up. Any US base is US soil. Obummer OTOH is suspicious. I don't watch Glenn's show (only because I don't turn the tv on anymore) so I don't know why he won't cover it. I'd be interested in knowing his take on it, too.

  4. I think the mess that would result, the chaos and tumult, the Constitutional crisis, and even potential race riots, should Obama be discovered to be ineligible to hold office, makes people shun the entire question.

And considering how long this has been out there, and no evidence has come out except some suggestive editorials and speculative deductions, there really doesn't seem to be any reason to take it seriously.

Skiri'ki, agreed. There is no question of McCain's eligibility.

  5. To myself,it's not about a birth certificate, but that....after BO's mom married Sotero,BO legally changed his name to Sotero, renouncing his US citizenship, and apparently got into Columbia U. as a "foreign exchange student",with financial backing from unknown donors. I can see that as a most probable fact. Also,my own lament to lib-friends quivering about "he's SO smart" yada-yada wish-projection was always... "Why are his University grades sealed?"

  6. Bad argument Skiri'ki: FYI: McCain wasn't born on the base... he was born off base site at a hospital so technically not on base. Some say that is why RNC ran McCain: collusion at top oligarchy level to run inelligible candidates. That is why McCain didn't challenge BHO on his because he knew he wasn't either. Bit of a quandary isnt' it... Clintons didn't challenge because a) they thought Hillary would win nomination and b) if not a Dem had to get in.

However, guess what! It doesn't matter where BHO was born: his (supposed) dad was Kenyan and BHO's own site says he was British at birth. He can NEVER be eligible if B.Hussein senior was in fact is dad (that is his narrative).

So let's just see: does this part of the constitution not matter? Why? Do only some parts of the constitution matter? (see what I mean - this would be a GREAT topic for Beck to discuss...)

It will need to be resolved legally.

Apuzzo's site has lots of info and a court case STILL pending:

There won't be any riots. That is hogwash and what the left puts out as propaganda. Let the 20% of people (progressives) run everything and lie with threats of riots? Aren't ya'll armed? then nothing to fear there....

  7. Well, if a married American couple are on a vacation in France, and the wife goes into labor and has her child there...is the child an American Citizen?

    Of course.

Location alone is not the issue.

If a child's American citizenship is renounced legally by his parents, and he becomes a citizen of another country...that's different.

And a potential legal issue, certainly.

Liza G...I disagree. Blacks voted for Obama at something like 90%. And they are still overwhelmingly supporting him. For the "man" to remove him from the Presidency would, indeed cause tremendous anger.

And every race hustler would fan the flames and the accusations of "racism". On that you can depend.

Inner city dwellers riot when their football teams win.

And you don't think they'd riot if the first Black president was summarily ejected from office?

    You've been away too long!

  8. Did people riot when a) Kennedy was shot dead b) when Nixon was impeached c) when Clinton was put on trial...

I have faith that when the TRUTH is revealed, people come around...

Problem is WAY too many lies have been told the way I see it.

There are lot of black conservatives, too, you know...

p.s. its not a democracy, its a republic and if we choose not to follow the constitution, fine, through it out for something better... now THAT is the slippery slope the progressives are pushing for...

riots shmiots... TRUTH will prevail in the end... don't you think blacks will be pissed they were LIED TO?

  9. p.s. look up "natural born citizen" and WHY it was written into the constitution at all...

  10. "does this part of the Constitution not matter?"...NO,Lisa,it does not,in the present state of the American Republic.Much like during the death-throes of the Roman Republic when Julius Caesar began his strut to power, the Rule of Law was enforced on a selectively "convenient",not morally/traditionally-based approach, and the Romans traded their hard-won system for a Personality-Cult charade. It made Cato weep...

  11. good point TJones... that is why for all the adoration of Beck, I've stepped back and wonder why he won't discuss certain things...

If the constitution matters and he's pushing for America to fight fight for it: then the WHOLE DAMN constitution matters... not just the bits Glenn likes...

  12. Gunny...based on anectdotal, personal experience,Blacks say one thing to pollsters, but many know by now that they have been bamboozled into voting a Loser bullshit artist into office.SO WHAT,if younger hotheads get pissed off? We all gotta grow up,at some point...nothing makes me sadder than that 90% of callers on talk radio/C-SPAN shows defending Obama are obviously Black Americans, but that's just organized seminar callers, trying to mau-mau the debate.Fuck 'em...

  13. There were some Founding Fathers who had problems with parts of the Constitution, with some prescience,as it turns out...but they seemed to have a supernatural (SUPRA-national?)ability to,when the fight was at its apex, know when to "settle",with the faith that the proposed democratic republic would suss things out in the long run,and left room for future improvements as they were revealed. Most believed in the Enlightenment, but retained a healthy, pragmatic sense of Man's imperfections, and were suitably humble. This current crop of power-grabbers have no sense of humility, and THAT will be their downfall...

  14. Addendum...I got a somewhat "paradise view" of New Zealand, since my first roommate in NYC in 1981 was an Italian ex-pat (born in an African ex-Italian colony)who'd lived there and was in an all-girl-band-but-him called "The VWs",and he went on about the coolness of the lifestyle there at the time (mercifully "out of touch").And his photos of the landscape were to drool over...

  15. NZ out of touch down, TJones...? Naaaa... I'm not anyways...

Case in point: excellent research being done by NewZeal.blogspot.com. Trevor over there, also likes Beck. I do like Beck - to a point - but wish he'd cover ALL constitutional concerns.

I reserve the right to be skeptical of ALL things super dooper & shiny. What are peoples motives? If they are on TV, they want $$ and adulation, right?!

Everything with a grain of salt.

Of course the NZ landscape is beautiful, too.

  16. Re:"out of touch"...My mate Stefano back then merely meant that they were mercifully late in getting NME and Melody Maker rags for the latest delivery in punk happenings,so they just did their own thang, and had cool bands like The Clean, etc. Thanks for the NewZeal blogspot link! As for Beck...I'm a bit gushy that lately Beck's playing bits of the legendary Joy Division ("Dead Souls","Transmission") for bumper music lately.According to its singer Ian Curtis's widow, that truly-tortured artist (epilepsy) voted Tory.I love the iconoclasty of that!
