What's Going On...

Just a note to explain why there have not been as many posts as usual.

I've found myself as the head "Community Organizer".

Indeed...I'm organizing what I call the "Liberty Community" in my area, and it's amazing how much time it takes. I didn't want to do it really. I just wanted to find a group in my area I could join to meet like-minded people (I live in a very Liberal area).

Trouble was, there weren't any. Even the Tea Party people only organized "events"...and that left months in between them during which all that energy and interest was ignored, and ultimately frustrated.

So, I ended up starting the group I was looking for.

And it's a lot more work than "joining". All of a sudden you're perceived as a "leader" and everyone expects you to do things, know stuff, make decisions, and have ideas!

It's exhausting—and exhilirating—and time-consuming.

I'm even in the process of creating a website—thank god for Google Sites. They make it easy for anyone to put up a website....for FREE!

So, if I miss a day, know that I'm thinking about all of you, but probably fell asleep with my noggin on the keyboard before I got here that night.

I expect that as we get things organized, and I can hand off responsibilities to others for various facets of the enterprise, things will get back to normal around here.

I'm not going anywhere...just spending a little less time at Gunslinger's Journal because there's only 24 hours in a day, damnit.

Interesting... I've been thinking along similar lines, building something rather than 'eventing', hope you post some details on what it is your are doing.

Now that I'm back from vacation and ready to engage in some unexpected unemployment to celebrate nObama's ending of the recession... I may have some time to get something rolling....
