Prayers for the Noble Dead

Among all the photos emailed to me about current events, politics and war, these two are particular favorites. Meditating on them never fails to bring a tear. Sincere gratitude. And a blessing.

I think of the first one as "The Cost of Freedom"





The second "Loyalty"

    SGT James John Reagan...if you havent read the story of this young American hero,you should...everyone should.

    I googled....thank you,lowandslowpony!May I recommend a book..."Joker One" by Donovan Campbell.Heard interview with former (NEVER "ex")Marine Campbell on NPR.Funny how Hannity,O'Reilly,et al NEVER interview more recent jarheads.They just go to Oliver North.For all it's bullshit,I've come across more stuff with frontline grunts on NPR than FoxNews.Why don't Fox?This bugs me...
