What Women Want

For all the teenage boys of my acquaintance...

READ & LEARN.

Perhaps the most difficult thing you need to do is learn in life is what girls want. It's an age old question. Just ask your Dad.

I have a secret. I can literally give you a list. (Actually, grownup men might profit from reading it too!)

The perfect guy should:
  • be too much of a gentleman;
  • be really smart;
  • smell extraordinarily nice;
  • have eyes only for you even if he is surrounded by hot girls;
  • quote Shakespeare;
  • stand in front of you in a protective way when you are in danger;
  • give you his jacket when you are cold;
  • have morals;
  • love you for what you are inside, not for how you look;
  • be charming;
  • sparkle in the sunlight;
  • have a nice family;
  • always pay for everything;
  • have been pretty much single since 1901;
  • hold your face while he kisses you.
Understand that the business of "sparkling" in the sunlight and being single since 1901 may have something to do with the fact that the being this perfect man is modeled after is a vampire.

But never mind that. It really isn't the point. The rest of the list is eminently do-able for any man with sufficient motivation to be fatally attractive to girls/women.

Trust me when I tell you: It. Will. Work.

Here's where I got it.

  1. Why bother?

    Since feminism took over women have stopped doing all the things that attract a man. Except for sex, and that goes to the newest most interesting person, the rapper, the drug dealer, the illegal alien.

    If you want to see something amusing, try holding a door for a liberated woman.

    If women truly want the treatment you describe, they need to look to themselves. Males for the most part act like they do because that's what works.

  2. In a "natural" world,men and women in pairs complement each other.The characteristics of the two(strength,humility,respect,intro/extroversion,etc.) vary in each individual case.The problems of relationships seem to occur when vanity and ego intrude too much,exacerbated in these "modern" times by media-spluge of "experts".People "think" too much,but don't REALLY think,don't know themselves as much as people in the past.For all the artifice in the old classic Hollywood movies,there's more Sexy Female Strength in the Rosalind Russells,Hedy Lemars,Ingrid Bergmans,etc., than in 90% of the actresses being touting as "Image-of-Woman" these days.I'd take Myrna Loy over the skank Angelina Jolie (I'd take wit,a sharp mind,and a Woman with That Effervesence over body-augmentation "Babe",anyday).Body parts never entered my equation in relationships.Odd, how that list of "The Perfect Guy" and connection to some tripe little Vampire movie ("Twilight") should actually echo what young men were once taught to strive for in behavior towards young women.The societal sub-conscience (i.e.Best Behavior) bubbles up in the weirdest places.It is engrained in our DNA.As long as true Romantic impulse lives in our species,we have hope...

  3. I agree! Out of the mouths of young teenage girls, here in America, in 2008, in the face of all the rubbish they are swamped with...we get this list.

    Hope is alive!
