From SWORDFISH

"Stanley: War? Who are we at war with?

Gabriel: Anyone who impinges on America's freedom. Terrorist states, Stanley. Someone must bring their war to them. They bomb a church, we bomb 10. They hijack a plane, we take out an airport. They execute American tourist, we tactically nuke an entire city. Our job is to make terrorism so horrific that is becomes unthinkable to attack Americans."

If only. Can John Travolta's Gabriel be president, please?

  1. As much as I like the sentiment, terrorism is a crime. It is most efficiently dealt with by the victims, not the police/government.

  3. That's pretty much the point, Anon. In the movie Swordfish, Gabriel is outside the rules of the police and the government. That's why he can act on the "sentiment".

Call it an act of war: we are citizen soldiers!

Call it a personal attack: we have the right of self-defense.
