More Palin Derangement Syndrome. This time from Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham, and his cotillion of debutantes Holly, Karen, Suzanne, Michael (!) and Sarah who presumably also despise the governor.
The discharge of unadulterated elitist stink is almost suffocating. At one point, it apparently occurs to this self-adoring Brahmin that this might be the case, and he feebly addresses it, as though doing so will somehow obscure its reek.
This pompous ass has literally been rendered stupid by his harebrained Liberal ideology. A mind is a terrible thing to waste on Liberalism.
Paul Edwards at Townhall has a lovely critique of this insufferably condescending screed.
In other words, she's not on the plantation. And they just can't stand that.

"Is this an elitist point of view? Perhaps, though it seems only reasonable and patriotic to hold candidates for high office to high standards. Elitism in this sense is not about educational or class credentials, not about where you went to school or whether you use "summer" as a verb. It is, rather, about the pursuit of excellence no matter where you started out in life. Jackson, Lincoln, Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Clinton were born to ordinary families, but they spent their lives doing extraordinary things, demonstrating an interest in, and a curiosity about, the world around them. This is much less evident in Palin's case."This pretentious buffoon and his posey-toed valentines are obstinately dismissive of Governor Palin's material accomplishments, yet perversely insist that Barack Obama's empty resume magically confers upon him the qualifications required for the presidency of the United States.

"The real problem elitists like Meacham have with Governor Palin is that she has achieved success as a female politician without sacrificing her morals at the altar of liberalism to gain the credentials required by the media elite."
