Apes-in-Lace vs Sarah Palin

This is an entry in my "Blog Terms and Definitions" which can be found here.

Apes-in-Lace: Generally, people for whom style (lace) is more important than substance (ape) and whose judgment therefore is almost always wrong. They treasure "shiny" objects of little worth (Barack Obama) and reject diamonds in the rough (Sarah Palin).

Particularly
, the pretentious boobs living in The Blue Bubble who, though imagining themselves to be sophisticated and worldly, are unaware of anything beyond their little burg of like-minded provincials. They imagine themselves to be Lordly and impressive by virtue of their superficial trappings, but are mocked by "regular" people who see the hairy, stinky, gamboling ape beneath the lace.

Example: Peggy Noonan has lately revealed herself to be an Ape-in-Lace by her inability to comprehend Sarah Palin's character or appeal. So focused on the "style" so important to Apes-in-Lace (she is actually flummoxed by Palin's dropping of "g's") she entirely misses the substance of the woman so popular among "regular" people.

This is an IBD editorial called Palin and the Elitists, on roughly the same subject. I am pleased to be in such good company.

  1. Had my previous question re:Christopher Buckley endorsement of Obama answered today by NPR show "Wait,Wait" where he was a guest.Smarmy,self-congratulatory smugness was rampant (I know, what can I expect?).Best way for a conservative to get attention from these buffoons is to cross over to the dark side, where they'll be cheered and get their cajones tickled---such vanity! I've liked NPR for their coverage of non-political,historically- interesting stories, but the politics of the productions intrudes more and more,in anticipation of Obama victory.Truly, they are educated idiots.I prize education,TRUE educative/logic approach, but some of these shows lose me with their snobbish snickering and dishonesty.Another show ("all Things Considered",I think) had this bullshit program about Union workers calling members re:voting for Obama...every example of "I won't vote for Obama" response was couched in "racism" terms, not "I think he's a jerk with bad policies".These union assholes were pretty up-front about telling them "If you don't vote for Obama, you're a racist".Talk about mau-mauing!This is what's going on in Obie's campaign.Of course,we knew it would come down to that kind of extortion.

  2. GS,

I know this is off topic of your post... but thought I would give you a heads up.

Im not a big conspiracy type guy because I am convinced that you have more than 2 people in on a secret and it gets screwed up. So I havent been giving alot of credence to the birth certificate thing.

But... As you already know Berg's case was dismissed because the "Judge" said Berg lacked standing.

The finding was faxed to Bergs office.

Heres the but... at the bottom of the fax was a date and time different from the one at the judges chambers. Therefore... it appears the judge "received" a fax and forwarded it to Berg.

    Here is the link...

Check it out and see what you think.

  3. I heard on a talk show last night that the records in Kenya and Hawaii have been sealed. No one can check them out. Now, if true, that's damned peculiar. Suspicious, even.

And it does coincide with Obama's past behavior...hiding or lying about factual information that is damaging to him.

This "fax" business is just one more in a series of oddities that set the alarm bells jangling.

I'm glad to see Berg isn't giving up on this. Whatever it is, the TRUTH needs to come out.
