Mexican "Culture" in Northern California

In Fairfield, California, a town about an hour and a half northeast of San Francisco, the popular, youngest ever, and widely admired City-Councilman, Matt Garcia, 22, has been shot in the head and killed while visiting a friend.

It is widely speculated that Garcia, whose mission was to reach out to gangs in his town, and try to bridge the gap between that life and good citizenship, was killed by the very gangs he was trying to help.

In other words, a likely Mexican gang has killed an American politician because they perceived him to be a threat. (Just like they do in the "old country".)

This is a common, indeed, a veritable epidemic scourge in parts of Latin America and Mexico where politicians, police and judges are routinely murdered by gangs in order to protect their illegal enterprises, to terrorize and make examples of their enemies.

It is certainly possible that the murder of Garcia is, in fact, a non-politically motivated crime, in which he was the unfortunate but random victim. But on the face of it, that seems unlikely.

As you can see by this Mercury News article, the family said its final goodbyes and made arrangements for the donation of his organs.

As this potentially devastating indictment of our scandalous & suicidal "immigration policy" develops, I will keep you posted.

Either we have the sad, random death of a promising political light, or the importation of the utterly corrupt and soulless, murderous, drug gang culture from South of the Border into our own country.

If this turns out to be the latter, will it be enough to cause the re-examination of our currently open borders? Or will we, rather, choose to become like Mexico, tolerating the wholesale slaughter of our elected leaders, our law enforcement officers, our judges—and anyone else who gets in their way... by criminals who have become so rich and so powerful that they do not fear retribution, justice or punishment?

Perhaps all cultures are not so equal after all.
