Good News and the Polls

.
This may just be wishful thinking, but it does appear this guy has a point.

The polls are less thrilling and lopsided than I'd hoped. But then, I'm a "scorched earth" competitor. I don't "enjoy a good game." I want my side to murder the competition...usually not literally.

I like to watch my football team win a 70 - 0 game. In fact, I enjoy watching the game even more if I already know they've won by 70 points.

That's why I don't do much "competing". (I quit football when the Raiders moved to L.A.) It does not bring out the best in me.

Urmm...getting back to the point. I would have liked the post-convention Republican surge to have continued to a 30 point lead in the polls. So I'm kind of pouting.

But knowing how to read those polls, instead of just taking the numbers at face value, is enlightening.

I just hope our intrepid poll analyst is right.

  1. That would have been nice. I hate to say it but I will be happy just to get McCain in the white house.

I dream of a 49 state rout of Obama but the sheep just are not that smart and they keep buying the BS he is selling. . . .

He scares me way more than Clinton ever did. . .

  2. Read link and polling breakdown.Always good to know,WHEN it's put out (rarely).Read one recently that had the same caveat ("Oh,btw, our poll had 60% Demos,35% Reps, and showed a dead heat btwn McCain and Obama").They usually are front-loaded like that. This is why Mark Twain wrote "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics, etc."This is why, according to "statistics",the Soviet Union was doing "so great",up until it imploded.Mama always said "Propaganda is as Propaganda does"...
