Hotel on Boardwalk

Check this story out. The Monopoly board game was instrumental is helping GIs and other Allied POWs escape to freedom in WWII.

The greedy capitalist game is a symbol of and an active participant in FREEDOM.

Must drive the Moonbats crazy! Of course most of them probably don't know about it yet. Apparently this info was just de-classified in 2007.

This is a grin-inducing story on so many levels.

  1. More gems of OSS/MI5 work during WW2 keep getting de-classified.I thought my research of self-same in the 90's was thorough (silly me). They were true geniuses in their sly-ness.There may come a time when we'll need such ingenuity in the near future,in different ways.Remarkable creativity!

  2. I can't decide whether the digital age makes it harder or easier.

If one needed seriously secret communication, I suppose anything BUT digital in this day and age, would be overlooked while they focused on ways to cleverly tap our phones, TVs, computers, satellites.

Maybe that's a really good idea...using the Pony Express model...and while the enemy is sweeping the skies to intercept radio secrets...we'll be passing notes on planet earth.

Oh...maybe I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that...(tm Haggrid)
