Frankly,I think it IS a sign. The Lefties have never got it right when it comes to "the mood of the people"-witness the recent failures of Hollywood anti-war films at the box office. They don't know why.Like when Nixon landslide happened in '72,Bella Abzug (ultra-Lib Congresswoman) basically told a reporter "I don't know how this happened,I don't know Anyone who voted for him".Listening to BBC on NPR,no mention yet of the mayoral race.Big surprise.
I do now hope that Boris drops the "bumptious fool" persona that he adopts . I think he should show us what an Oxford education can do for London , good luck to us all .
Heard something on NPR earlier today (gasp!Yes,I DO listen to NPR,they have some good shows/programs,"What D'ya Know","Fresh Air",etc.-I filter out the bs)-anyway,Labour apparently suffered worst losses in 40 years, and there's a question of whether Brown will be pushed into new elections.Been keeping tabs on comments recently on websites of Brit papers, and I'm surprised at how po'd "regular" people are at the issues concerning Islamic extremist assholes pushing their agendas of special treatment, using Western values of fair play and "rights" against their host countries, ploys they wouldn't get away with in Islamic countries.Still a bit of spine left in the MotherCountry!
It is not about an actual God or actual faith. It is a Mad, Dark Fraternity that permits its members to act out the most barbaric acts they can think of to fulfill their disturbed psycho/sexual perversions.
LIBERALISM
Ideas so good they must be imposed by force!
Freedom
"There is no left and right. There is only tyranny and freedom."
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you.
May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." -Samuel Adams
