I couldn't believe it. I opened up my small town newspaper this morning and found this. Allow me to quote it in it's entirety (with names abbreviated for privacy):
Editor:C.N. is ME!
With the departure of [F.C.] as columnist [in the local newspaper], political balance has suffered a loss. As replacement, therefore, I rcommend another voice who has, through her many letters to the editor, consistently and eloquently expressed conservative views: the most erudite [C.N.]
Signed [B.F.]
He called me "most erudite"!
Right in front of God and everybody.
I'm just a puddle of squishy delight.
I've been called a lot of things. But "most erudite" is absolutely my favorite. Ever.
The Gunslinger
Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteOnward and upward..
Will we be seeing you on Fox soon!!
Give em HELL!!!
Congrats on the new post,CN,er,GS!I'd rather read you in Nat'l Review, better company than Fox these days, and you'd get to finish not just a whole sentence, but a whole report. Why'd he stop at "erudite"? Would that WFB were around for verbal shower of accolades!
ReplyDeleteErudite - "characterized by great knowledge; learned or scholarly"
ReplyDeleteWhich makes this blog hallowed ground indeed, eh? Well done, GS!
Congrats,
ReplyDeleteI know you get frustrated sometimes blogging... almost like wetting your pants in a dark suit.. gives you a warm feeling but no one seems to notice. Not true, this is my first stop of the day.. we notice you. I have really enjoyed watching your journalistic skills blossom. Alot of people blog, but not all grow as you have. Keep up the good work and God Bless you.

ReplyDeleteWow...thanks, you guys!
ReplyDeletewell done and well deserved accolades, Gunslinger!
ReplyDeletebut . . . you are not truly honored in Pacifica until someone disrespects you by name in the Tribune. Or tells you to leave town.

Oh Jeff, that's already happened. Didn't you read about what a "bigot" I am..
