Missus Obie

[Michelle] Obama begins with a broad assessment of life in America in 2008, and life is not good: we’re a divided country, we’re a country that is “just downright mean,” we are “guided by fear,” we’re a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents. “We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day,” she said, as heads bobbed in the pews. “Folks are just jammed up, and it’s gotten worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I’m young. Forty-four!”

...“The life that I’m talking about that most people are living has gotten progressively worse since I was a little girl. . . . So if you want to pretend like there was some point over the last couple of decades when your lives were easy, I want to meet you!”
I don't like this woman.

The New Yorker did an extensive story about her. It presents a pretty self-obssessed person, who seems to feel she's too good to be a 'regular' wife, or a 'regular' campaigner. The pronouns "I" and "me" and "mine" are rather too prominent in her conversation...for someone who wants to be First Lady.

I don't like this woman.

She seems to think she's "all that"...and I'm just not not feelin' it. She seems to think she's got it all coming. That America owes her. She seems to resent her college loans. Maybe a cheaper school might have been in order. Some of us live within our means, Babe.

I don't like this woman.

Her fundamental view of America is that it is a dark, vicious, hateful, place, full of evil, mean people...well, at least evil, mean White people.

I don't like this racist woman.

Exactly what sort of man would she marry? Someone who disagreed with her on these fundamental, character-shaping, life-determining, faith-defining issues?

I think not.

I don't like this woman. I don't trust this woman's glib, hustlin' husband.

  1. If B. Hussein Obama gets to be president his biggest problem won't be North Korea or Iraq or Iran. It will be his wife's mouth.

  2. This woman has had more privilege than most citizens, white or black.

What exactly is her bitch. She's a Senator's wife for chrissake.

What more does she figure she's "got coming"??

  3. I profoundly dislike this woman. Apparenly, she has a mediocre intellect but made it to Harvard Law School because of affirmative action. But she hates America and can't see a darn thing right with it.

You better darn believe that her pillow talk with Mr. Obama is resentment and hatred of white society. And we are to believe that he's out of synch with her on these issues, that he didn't know she thinks this way when he met her, that he tells her, "Honey, don't talk like that. This is a different time"?

As you observe in another post, which place on earth is that place where it is an order of magnitude better than here? Oh, wait. We're so bad because see how far we have fallen short of our noble aspirations?

  4. Yes, we're not perfect, so we are the worst possible country on earth.

If I thought they were capable of "reasoning", I would question theirs.

With all their hatred of America, and how much better they seem to think other countries are, I can never figure out why they don't just GO to one of them.
