American Thinker has a piece that threatens: "The Life or Death Reason to Vote for ANY Republican?"
I clicked on it right away, wondering what I missed in my analysis, but would make me change my mind and actually vote for McCain. James Lewis says: Israel.
I feel bad, really. But I am unwilling sacrifice America for Israel...or Iraq.
If voting against McCain hurts either one of them, I can only say, "I'm sorry, but my primary allegiance must be to my country, its welfare and its people." And I believe that a McCain presidency will have long-term, devastating effects on the American political landscape. It is better to fight and survive a short-lived Hillary/Obama debacle than plant the long-term seed of the destruction of the Conservative Movement and the disintegration of the Republican Party for years to come by distorting it into a reflection of McCainism..i.e., no deeply held core conservative principles but "supporting the troops" which while necessary is hardly sufficient.
James Lewis fails to convince.

Here is the only compelling reason I can think of to vote McCain.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of paying the Clinton's rent for another four years just absolutely pisses me off.
How about this: you're paying for all that Secret Service protection anyway.
ReplyDeleteWhy pay for it twice? It's sort of a two-fer.
