Defending Hillary

Honestly, I can't believe I'm doing this. But I'm about to defend Hillary Clinton. This video is being presented as an example of Hillary "losing" it by getting angry. I was prepared for some delicious rant or explosion I could rub my hands over and laugh evilly. But what I got was a woman who was making an assertive point that made total sense. Well, it would have made total sense if she was telling the truth, you understand. The entire statement is based on the tissue of complete fabrication of Hillary's supposed "experience" and 35 years of doing whatever...

...but that's not the point. The point is that she is not displaying any sort of untoward "anger" or particularly "bad temper" She's being firm and arguing her point. I hate to use the old chestnut, but "if a man did this, he'd be considered assertive and strong, a woman is considered bitchy and pushy and angry." I'd hoped we'd got beyond that stupid nonsense.

This video has been "posted by her enemies" according to ABC's Jake Tapper, who apparently has drunk the new anti-Hillary/pro-Obama Kool-Aid along with the rest of the drive-by media, and is prepared to see what is not there if it supports his agenda. What they hope to get out of it is beyond me. I can't stand Hillary. I think she is a dangerous, manipulative, lying, mean, vengeful, ambitious and possible criminal actor in American politics. But this accusation is absurd, this mis-characterization will only make "her enemies" look like idiots.

By the way, she looks great in this video; lovely suit, good hair. We don't need to mock her ankles, her thighs, her face, her age, her voice. And it annoys the crap out of me when anyone, Conservative or otherwise, lowers the debate to schoolyard bullying by calling people ugly or fat...

...or by hyping an anger meltdown that is clearly no such thing. We don't need to make things up to argue the issues. If we, and Hillary's new enemies who I'm sure are Obama's people, don't stick with Truth, we're no better than she is. And where, exactly, does that get any of us?
