Border Patrol's Alternate Choice

Let's see. The options:

1) Stay far enough to be safe, shoot at fleeing criminals and go to prison.

2) Refrain from shooting (so you won't go to jail for doing your job); get up close and personal, trying to stop them, and get killed.

Nice choices.

I wonder if the Border Patrol is a little light on recruits lately.

  1. I don't know if you've heard it, but one of the border Patrols radio recruitment spots has Chuck norris as the spokesman.

They are desperate enough to invoke the Father of All Hypothetical Stand-and-Fight-With-Your-Hands-Alone-in-the-Face-of Inconcievable-Danger-for-a Completely-Lost-Cause mythologies.

At least that's how I felt when I heard it.

  2. Well, that's encouraging...yeah, let's all use Karate to stop bullets.

On the other hand, the characters he plays in his movies are not exactly known for agonizing about the "civil rights" of his opponents...
