Why is there any possibility that they might win the White House and retain a majority in either or both houses of Congress?

How are we not utterly ashamed of them, and outraged at their behavior, as a people, to a man? Who among us, no matter what our politics, doesn't care if honor and truth are sacrificed on the altar of ambition and self-promotion?
