The Leftie in the Mirror

On DUmmie FUnnies, PJ has a post with quotes from someone named Cesca, apparently blogging on Huffington Post.

Among the things Cesca claims is the following:

"To the neocons and Bush Republicans, logic, compassion, reason and rationality are the stuff of the "faggy" left wing."

As I said in my comment on DUFU, I'm trying to remember the last time I heard a "faggy" Left-winger demonstrate what might be called a nodding acquaintance with logic, reason or rationality.

On every scale of human understanding, by every objective standard, the Left live on the FEELING PLANET. Their arguments are almost totally bereft of anything resembling logic. How can so many people be so completely self-deluded?

And, the perfect example of this emotion-based "thinking" is Cescas own wandering rant:

Cesca wants Kucinich's proposal to impeach Cheney to pass to the floor of the House to be debated.

The Republicans voted to pass Kucinich's proposal to impeach Cheny to the floor of the House to be debated.

Democrat leadership scurried to block passage of the Kucinich proposal to the floor of the House to be debated.

Cesca HATES the Republicans for causing this debacle and humiliation, though they voted precisely as Cesca wanted the Democrats to vote.

Republicans voted in line with Cesca's desires and objectives. But, it does not matter. Their vote is hateful, because it was the Republicans who voted.

Leftie Moonbats do not hate Republicans for what they believe or how they vote, but rather hate the beliefs because Republicans hold them; and the the votes because Republicans cast them.

Unreasoning hatred of Republicans is their first and primary political principle. All things flow from that. If Bush suggests it, it must be immediately rejected. No matter how good an idea. ANY Republican proposal must be rejected—because a Republican proposed it. There is no question of discussing it, evaluating it, considering it. It is an unacceptable proposal because a Republican proposed it.

This explains their choke-hold embrace of loser policies, expensive and inefficient bureaucracies, malevolent institutions...Republicans don't like them.

It further explains their rejection of so many proven, efficient, wise and sensible policies... Republicans support them.

It's so bad, it'd almost be worth the experiment of having Republicans heavily and publicly support Socialism. The Moonbats would suddenly find Socialism repugnant....because the Republicans liked it.

Perhaps all we have to do it reject Capitalism, for the Moonbats to embrace it!
Perhaps all we have to do is reject Christianity for the Moonbats to embrace it!
Perhaps all we have to do is embrace Islam for the Moonbats to reject it!

(And taxes, and welfare and vouchers and immigration...)

Is this the political version of some sort of force of nature, a law of physics?

Maybe it's the real meaning of "behind the Looking Glass". Everything is a reflection, where left is right and right is left...and they must always remain opposed, to the extent that if one changes position, the other must do so in exactly the same manner and degree in the precisely opposite direction.
