Of Flowers and Guns

I guess the Tie-Dyed are in a bit of a fix.

Peaceful Buddhist monks are getting their heads blown off in Burma.

You'd expect the Pony-Tailed to be in the streets shouting for it to stop...but if you think about it a moment, you'll realize they've pretty much got no where to go.

Are they going to suggest that VIOLENCE IS THE ANSWER, by calling for American Military interference?

Are they going to suggest that the Buddhist Monks provoked the attacks by being too peaceful?

Are they going to admit that being unarmed and perfectly peaceful is no guarantee that others will be peaceful?

Of course, some have already blamed Bush for NOT BEING VIOLENT in Burma at the same time the blame him for BEING VIOLENT in Iraq, even though "violence never solves anything". And they can somehow ignore the illogic and absurdity of these contradictory and fluid opinions as they change like flashing acid hallucinations, never supported by their most cherished street slogans

I wonder how they tolerate the chaotic scramble this requires in their brains?

  1. I figured they'd be calling for our military to go over there so THEY could be shot at.

Then the tie-dyed set could scream about how abusive our military is in Burma... shooting at those poor deluded...ummm..."freedom fighters"... that's it freedom fighters.. yeah.
