Democrat Failure

Jeffrey Schmidt has written a piece called The Failed Party. It's true that the influence of the benighted Left may linger for a while, doing horrible damage in its death throes. But I think Schmidt is right. Every single "principle" (I use the term loosely) and policy they stand for has been demonstrated, on the ground—in the real world— a failure.

I particularly appreciate the reminder that it was Lyndon Johnson and Congressional Democrats who lost the Vietnam War because he would not FIGHT it. The disaster of that war, and all it's ramifications, can be laid squarely at the feet of the Democrats.

And all the comparisons between Vietnam and Iraq are shameless attempts to make the stupid, historically ignorant public believe that the Neo-Cons were somehow responsible for that catastrophe...and are just repeating history in Iraq.

God, I hate them. They don't even pass Truth in the hallway, let alone have a nodding acquaintance.
