This video was taken by soldiers in a vehicle that had just been hit by an IED. What is remarkable, beside the delightful fact that everyone is uninjured, is the how the conversation shows just how YOUNG these troopers are. They sound just like kids (who swear a LOT) hanging at the mall. It's eye-opening. God love them. (And keep them safe.)

They were bloody lucky! It is a wonder the petrol or gas tank as you might say though its not a gas because it’s a liquid could have ignited.

These vehicles run diesel. It doesn't burn very easily, and so I imagine it would not catch on fire (if the gas tank is ruptured) and explode like gasoline would in this case.
ReplyDeleteMy thought was: aren't they supposed to get away from the "kill zone" in case of multiple IEDs? Maybe the vehicle is disabled and can't move.....
Yeah that's what i was thinking too, maybe they were part of a convoy or something. or in the middle of open ground and could see all around easily, thank the Lord they made it out ok.
