Lo, summer brings a modicum of good news. Defeatists in Retreat is the title. It's a little gleam of hope in an otherwise downpour of negativity.
Maybe Americans aren't as stupid and easily stampeded as the Left believes and hopes. How could they have imagined it? After all, they do have history on their side. The power and influence of the Media during the Viet Nam war was absolute. They created the defeat out of whole cloth, and were so proud of it.
We trusted them too much, we believed them; they were thought to tell the truth. Little did we know. But it looks like we just might have learned our lesson...we're smarter now, hipper to their bullshit and agenda, and we see through their masquerade of honest information brokers.
Whatever it is, I'm happy it is. And the media, apparently is in shock. If that doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will.

The reality is that our side is doing quite well, Gunny! Like all wars this one will have its ups and downs, but the Right Team was won the first call to retreat.
ReplyDeleteThe credit goes to the U.S. military who, like the Grand Army of the Republic in 1864 during the U.S. Civil War, have delivered a glorious victory for the Republic.
Like Churchill said about another decisive battle, "Never in the course of human events have so many owed so much to so few."
Cheers, Ronbo
Great comment, Ronbo - dead on right.
ReplyDeleteAnd it just breaks my heart to see all of the MSM sitting there right now with that little pansy look of shock on their face...whining, "It can't be true!!"
You see, the MSM has bought into the age old Dem/Socialist belief that the American people are unthinking, sheep. Well, MSM, we warned you to start looking at the numbers for Fox News, and for Rush Limbaugh and about a GAZILLION conservative blogs out there...but no, you figured we were all "baaing" away looking for Mary.
If I could get one wish, it would be to see Tim Russert and Chris Matthews both have breakdowns on the same day.
