I heard Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corp, on the radio this morning. He described quite a scene. Marines and National Guard troops are at the border, but consigned to manual labor and they are unarmed. To protect them from very dangerous and well-armed Mexican criminals (particularly drug smugglers and their Mexican Army mercenaries) that regularly cross the border and shoot at Americans, civilian men and women, often of "mature" years and armed with their own weapons, are "guarding" the young troopers as they work. What a picture. Does it get stupider than this?
