Those Racist Exit Exams!

A letter to the editor of our local rag...in response to another liberal bonehead who thinks that the California Exit Exam for High School Graduation is "culturally biased"...and therefore failing it should not prevent the ignorant and illiterate from receiving diplomas...

Dear Editor:

If I have understood correctly, JM LeCuyer feels that since government schools are often dismal failures, we should compound the injury by issuing meaningless diplomas to children who have not mastered the barest minimum necessary to function as semi-literates in our society.

Oh, I'm sorry, is that insensitive? Is identifying someone as a 'semi-literate' culturally biased? Imagine actually requiring that someone be capable of reading, writing and ciphering upon graduation from High School in America....and in English, yet!

When the High School Diploma becomes a "participation trophy" instead of an "achievement award", the ill-prepared who receive them will, nevertheless, founder on the rocks of Job-Land. Ignorance, diploma notwithstanding, translates to menial labor, exploitation, low pay, no future.

And the American corporate leaders that JM so roundly denounces as part of a dark conspiracy to create mindless robot workers? Well, they're just asking that job applicants actually be able to complete the application.

Keeping a failed student in school (where they just happen to teach what's on the test!) is surely kinder than sending him out into the cruel, competitive world devoid of any skills to meet the challenge.

Only our self-referential, hooka-smoking, liberal brahmins (and their lawyers) would refuse to temporarily hurt a kid's feelings, and by doing so, condemn him to a lifetime of despair...and then smugly congratulate themselves on their superior moral sensitivity!

There really is no hope for the State of California. Clowns abound. The idea of giving diplomas to students who failed, as seniors, a test that my nephew took and passed as a sophomore, and said was "easy" ...is so clearly, patently and obviously stupid that it was immediately taken up as a 'cause' by the chuckleheads and race-baiters who inhabit this asylum.

(Unfortunately, you can't just shoot the bastards.)
